SEOUL, Korea--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IGAWorks, a leading mobile app marketing company, announced today it has entered into an agreement with Kakao Inc., South Korea’s leading messaging app service creator, to bring the new mobile ad solution, adPOPcorn, to mobile messaging app KakaoTalk.
The adPOPcorn advertising platform provides in-game/in-app incentivized ad offers, including integrated advertising pop-ups, higher conversion rates and traffic, to social and mobile media channels while offering in-game items and other incentives to players. Through this partnership, IGAWorks will provide adPOPcorn to game developers whose products are enjoyed with KakaoTalk. Launched in 2010, KakaoTalk currently boasts 90 million registered users, making it one of the world’s largest cross-platform mobile group-messaging apps for iOS, Android, Windows Phones and BlackBerry.
“The new adPOPcorn-installed KakaoTalk will not only bring additional revenues to game publishers and developers, but will also beef up the service’s cross-promotional opportunities while leveraging KakaoTalk's massive traffic,” said Heita Miyoshi, executive vice president, IGAWorks. “With this partnership, adPOPcorn will substantially cover most of South Korea’s mobile traffic, thus becoming a ‘one-stop marketing gateway’ to East Asia.”
The KakaoTalk relationship follows IGAWorks’ recent exclusive partnership with CJ E&M, one of South Korea’s top videogame publishers, to provide adPOPcorn to the publisher’s mobile games in Korea. Up next, IGAWorks is planning to establish an office in Tokyo by mid-summer, and is preparing for additional international expansion in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia by Q4 2013.
