CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--David’s Bridal, Inc., the leading specialty retailer of bridal gown and wedding-related apparel and accessories in the United States, today announced the appointment of Pamela B. Wallack as Chief Executive Officer, effective May 28, 2013.
Ms. Wallack was selected to lead the company based on her proven abilities to grow and improve well-known consumer brands by building compelling product assortments and customer experiences. Ms. Wallack’s leadership skills will help drive the strategic initiatives underway at the company, including expanding the store base, bolstering the eCommerce platform, enhancing customer experience and adding to the portfolio of high-fashion brands.

Ms. Wallack joins David’s Bridal from Gap, Inc. (NYSE: GPS), where she has held senior positions since 2005. In 2011, she was tapped to establish and lead the Gap Global Creative Center, responsible for global design, marketing and production and accountable for $6 billion in annual sales. Additionally, Ms. Wallack was the President of Gap Adult, Body and Accessories from 2010 to 2011 and the President of Gap Kids and Baby from 2005 to 2010.

Ms. Wallack has also spent time at other retail brands including Coach, Inc., The Disney Store and Laura Ashley. Ms. Wallack received her BS in Education from the University of Vermont.
