SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ForgeRock, the pioneer of open source identity and access management, will hold its first Open Identity Summit June 12-14 at Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, California. The conference will explore solutions to current IAM challenges, using ForgeRock’s Open Identity Stack across enterprise, social, mobile, and cloud applications. Keynote speakers include Scott McNealy, co-founder of Sun Microsystems and current chairman of Wayin, and Pat Patterson, principal developer evangelist at Salesforce.com.
Geared towards developers, architects, and administrators, the call to submit conference papers ends May 6, with current highlights including:
- Keynote by Pat Patterson on “How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Open Source Identity,” where he will discuss the genesis of OpenAM, its evolution at Sun Microsystems, and how community momentum generated from a commercial open source identity model evolved into a viable alternative to traditional IAM models.
- In “An Identity Bridge to Somewhere,” we delve into different approaches to deploying identity bridges using the Open Identity Stack, addressing the growing need to manage identity data both behind and beyond the firewall.
- “Directories for the REST of Us: REST to LDAP in OpenDJ 2.6” and “Friendly Application Integration: Developing using the OpenAM REST Interface” are hands-on sessions exploring the REST to LDAP feature in OpenDJ 2.6, how to enable it, configure it, and make use of the REST API to access data, and how to use OpenAM’s powerful REST interface.
