Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by the New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. This marks the second year in a row that Twitch has won this title as well as being the only two years it has been eligible to compete since its launch in June 2011.
Twitch was able to once again beat out leading gaming websites to take home the award, thanks to its dedicated global audience with the live streaming platform currently attracting more than 30 million unique visitors a month.
