BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Salas O’Brien, LLC is pleased to announce that Rick Gunter has joined Luckman Salas O’Brien as Vice President in our Burbank office. Rick brings more than 22 years of focused industry experience. Most recently he led the architecture practice at URS Corporation in Los Angeles.

Rick built a successful, diversified, and multi-discipline architecture & engineering practice at URS in Los Angeles. He led major projects there such as McDonald's Rocky Mountain Major Remodel Program, LAX Northside Plan Update, Global Petroleum Refiner API 752 & FRC Program, San Diego International Airport Exterior Ticketing Concourses, and the Compton Senior Center. Prior to URS, Rick was with Ware Malcomb for 12 years, where as a Principal he managed offices in Los Angeles and Denver. While at Ware Malcomb he opened, developed, and transitioned the leadership of new offices in Denver, New Jersey, and Panama. Rick’s entrepreneurial spirit, talent, and dedication and talents made him a trusted advisor to clients, brokers, and users. He executed redevelopment projects in California, Colorado, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Panama, and Mexico. In Los Angeles, Rick led the entitlements and design of urban projects in the office, retail, industrial, and commercial markets. He was a very active member in NAIOP and SIOR locally and nationally.
Rick is a registered Architect in California, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Rick lives with his wife of 20 years in La Cañada Flintridge, where their children attend high school. He volunteers as a City Planning Commissioner and is active in many city, school, athletic, and other organizations. With his fantastic skill set, excellent client relationships, and solid reputation in the architectural community, we are very excited to welcome him aboard.
