Mortech™ Offers Free AllRegs Training Program

Marksman users get free quarterly programs; this time it’s HUD compliance training

LINCOLN, Neb.--()--Mortech, Inc., a Zillow® business that provides mortgage technology software solutions for mortgage bankers and secondary market teams, announced today that through its exclusive partnership with AllRegs®, the company will be offering “HUD’s Final Rule on Fair Lending and Disparate Impact,” a special audio training course from AllRegs Academy, to Marksman users at no cost.

The program will be available on April 19 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. EDT and is available to non-clients through the AllRegs website for $265.

“Our exclusive partnership with AllRegs not only makes us the only Product and Pricing Engine with access to its Lender Library of loan product data, but it also allows our clients to benefit from AllRegs Academy,” said Don Kracl, vice president of Mortgage Tools for Zillow. “This quarter’s program will provide need-to-know compliance information including HUD’s three-part legal test to help borrowers and lenders determine whether a particular lending practice is discriminatory.”

On Feb. 8, HUD announced that it is issuing a final rule to formalize a national standard for determining when a housing practice violates the Fair Housing Act as a result of discriminatory effect. AllRegs Academy’s audio course will review the final rule and discuss in detail the new guidelines published by HUD. The program will provide an introduction to the rule, guidelines on implementation as well as best practices for compliance.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the purpose of the final rule
  • Recognize the components of the three-part legal test
  • Identify disparate impact
  • Understand the requirements for fair lending policies and procedures as they relate to disparate impact

The audio course will last 90 minutes, consisting of a 60-minute online presentation with a 30-minute interactive question-and-answer session.
