CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vault.com, the leading career resource for employer ratings and rankings, has ranked Grant Thornton LLP third on its Vault Accounting 50, an annual ranking of the best accounting employers to work for in North America.
The firm earned No. 1 accolades in at least one quality of life category while also ranking among the top 10 in many others. According to Vault, Grant Thornton “ranks ahead of the Big 4 in just about every quality of life category, including firm culture, work/life balance, compensation, hours, informal training, overall satisfaction, promotion policies, and supervisor relationships.” In addition, Vault highlights the firm’s high ranking in the areas of promotion policies and internal mobility, given the firm’s excellent career development opportunities for its staff.

For its accounting firm rankings, Vault asked more than 7,900 accountants of all levels to assess their peer accounting firms on a scale of 1 to 10 based on prestige (respondents were unable to rate their own employers and were asked to rate only firms with which they were familiar). Accountants were also asked to rate their own firms in various quality of life categories, including firm culture, compensation, overall satisfaction, training, diversity, hours and work/life balance, among others.
