NOTTINGHAM, United Kingdom--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chinook Energy Limited (“Chinook”) has appointed Will Temple to the role of Corporate Strategy Director. Chinook, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinook Sciences Limited (“Chinook Sciences”), is a global developer of Energy from Waste plants utilising Chinook Sciences’ leading advanced gasification and pyrolysis technology.
In this role Mr. Temple will work closely together with the other Board members of Chinook and with the Board of Chinook Sciences to implement Chinook’s and Chinook Sciences’ growth strategies with an emphasis on sourcing funding for, and developing, Energy from Waste(“EfW”) projects globally together with sourcing feedstock for plants through local partnerships and by direct acquisition of appropriate waste management companies. Mr. Temple brings to Chinook ten years of experience in private equity, including eight years involvement in the waste management and renewable energy sectors.

Mr. Temple’s career includes ten years in Private Equity, of which nine years with European mid-market firm Englefield Capital, which had approximately €2.0bn of assets under management and where Will was a Partner. Will was involved among other investments in the establishment of UK recycling-led waste management company Reconomy in 2005 and the subsequent successful sale of much of that business to Viridor in 2010. Will has broad experience at board level across many sectors, where his roles included strategy formation and execution, including raising finance, M&A, management oversight and business development. Following his time at Englefield, Mr. Temple spent a year working with Clearbrook Capital on the acquisition of medium and large sized waste management companies with the intention of developing Energy from Waste plants using the feedstock of the acquired businesses. Prior to Englefield Capital, he spent three years in investment banking in London with Merrill Lynch. Mr. Temple has a BSc degree in Economics from the University of Bristol in the UK.
Mr. Temple is also actively involved with the Carbon Leapfrog charity, which supports the development of community scale carbon reduction projects across the UK and internationally.
