CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GGA Software Services LLC, a leading provider of outsourced scientific informatics and software services to the life sciences industry, announced today that GGA and Pfizer will present Indigo ELN, the industry’s leading open-source chemistry electronic laboratory notebook, at the 2013 Bio-IT World Conference and Expo in Boston, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, April 10, at 12:00 PM. The annual Bio-IT World Conference and Expo has established itself as the premier event showcasing technology and informatics applications for biomedical research and drug discovery.
Pfizer granted GGA an exclusive license to develop, distribute, and maintain Indigo ELN, an open-source version of Pfizer's internal chemistry electronic lab notebook. Indigo ELN is now available for the research and development community to use. The system is publically available for downloading at GGA’s website under the open-source GNU General Public License, version 3. For more information on Indigo ELN and to download the application, please visit: http://www.ggasoftware.com/opensource/indigo/eln.
The presentation is titled: GGA Software Services’ Indigo ELN: The Open-Source Version of Pfizer’s Chemistry ELN. Yuriy Gankin, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer of GGA, and Steven Trudel, Business Partner, Chemistry and Pharmacology, at Pfizer, will make the presentation together. The presentation will review Indigo ELN’s key features and benefits, as well as its origination from Pfizer’s internal chemistry ELN. The presentation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, 12:00 PM in the Conference Track 11: Collaborations and Open Access Innovations.
Benefitting from the considerable investment by Pfizer in its internal chemistry ELN, Indigo ELN provides scientists with a proven way to create, store, retrieve, and share electronic records of chemistry information in ways that meet all legal, regulatory, technical, and scientific requirements. It allows scientists to prepare, plan, and analyze experiments, access relevant information, and develop new methods in the areas of synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and process chemistry.
In addition to delivering this presentation, Dr. Gankin will chair the Information Management and Collaborative Drug Discovery Section of Track 9: Drug Discovery Informatics, on the morning of Wednesday, April 10. GGA will be exhibiting at the Bio-IT World Expo in Booth 400 with demonstrations of Indigo ELN and a review of GGA’s scientific informatics solutions for pharma and life sciences companies.
