Omni Nashville Hotel Announces New Appointments

Luxury Property Names New Director of Convention Services and Catering and National Sales Manager for the Northeast Region

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--Omni Hotels & Resorts announced today the appointment of Michael Hiltabitel as director of convention services and catering and Shelley Bankard-Weaver as national sales manager for the Northeast region for the Omni Nashville Hotel. The 21-story, 800-room luxury hotel will feature more than 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Located in the heart of Nashville’s exciting downtown, Omni Nashville Hotel is connected to the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, and adjacent to The Music City Convention Center and within walking distance of the city’s cultural attractions, restaurants, live music and sports venues.

Hiltabitel joins the Omni Nashville Hotel from the Gaylord Opryland Resort, where he served as associate director of convention services and catering since 2009. Prior to that, he served as senior catering and convention services manager for the Gaylord National Resort from 2007-2009. Hiltabitel also held similar positions at the Gaylord Texan and Nemacolin Woodlands resort. Hiltabitel graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management.

Bankard-Weaver joins the Omni Nashville Hotel from the Gaylord Opryland Resort where she held numerous positions from leisure sales manager to national sales manager. She brings more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry with Walt Disney Resorts & the Ritz- Carlton Hotel Company. Bankard-Weaver graduated from Temple University with a B.S. in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
