LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aristotle Capital Management, LLC (“Aristotle”), a value-oriented investment management firm for institutional and high net worth clients, provided an update on the firm and an overview of its investment philosophy during an inaugural webcast held March 19th for clients and consultants. Aristotle CEO and Chief Investment Officer Howard Gleicher, CFA and President Steve Borowski commented on the firm’s 2012 performance, its investment philosophy and process, and how its differentiated approach positions Aristotle with its objective to deliver superior returns to clients over the long-term.
“We held this webcast to give our clients greater access to our investment team and to describe how Aristotle is different from the myriad of asset management firms in the marketplace today,” said Howard Gleicher, CFA, CEO and Chief Investment Officer. “Our single most distinguishing factor is that we do not focus on buying and selling stocks—we focus on buying great companies. As an investment team we are simply out in the world working to understand the very best business models. This approach results in highly concentrated portfolios of what we consider outstanding companies that we intend to own for the long-term.
“We look at these great companies from a global perspective and invest with a long-term view,” Gleicher continued. “As a result of our thorough due diligence process, we find that only a select number of companies meet our stringent criteria for inclusion in our portfolios. Therefore, by design, our portfolios represent those companies where we have the very highest conviction of quality, value and long-term prospects.”
Following a strong year of performance for its key investment strategies, Aristotle Capital Management now manages over $3.1 billion in assets as of February 28, 2013. The firm has expanded its investment team commensurate with its growth in assets under management, and today, Aristotle employs thirty-three professionals, including a team of nine investment professionals.
President Steve Borowski commented, “We have reached this important $3 billion milestone through an investment philosophy and process that is highly disciplined and strategic. Execution of our key investment strategies – domestic Value Equity, International Equity, Global Equity and Global Opportunity – are carried out by a top-notch team of professionals that are committed to delivering superior results and excellent service to our clients. We are very excited about Aristotle’s prospects for the future.”
During the webcast Borowski also noted that two of the firm’s investment strategies, Value Equity and Global Opportunity, are now available to investors via mutual funds. He stated, “We are pleased to be expanding our distribution and providing new investors access to our investment products.”
Aristotle’s March 19th webcast was the first of a series of webcasts that the firm will conduct for its clients. The next webcast will feature Geoffrey Stewart, CFA and Sean Thorpe, the firm’s portfolio managers for the International Equity strategy since its inception in January 2008.
