WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alegeus Technologies, the market leader in healthcare and benefit payments, appoints John Park as Chief Strategy Officer, Matthew Francis as Chief Sales Officer and Robert Pinataro as Chief Service Officer.

As Chief Strategy Officer, John Park will lead corporate strategy and corporate development for Alegeus. Park brings extensive experience in the healthcare space. Throughout his career, he has been at the forefront of the healthcare consumerism movement. Prior to joining Alegeus, he was a senior leader at CIGNA Healthcare, responsible for developing strategy and leading business development initiatives across the organization. Park was a founding member of Definity Health, a health plan startup responsible for pioneering the movement towards a consumer-driven marketplace for healthcare. Park also served as a vice president at Fidelity Investments, responsible for various aspects of the healthcare strategy and developing the Health Savings Account product for Fidelity Employer Services Company. Early in his career, Park worked as a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting in the Strategic Healthcare Practice working with clients including hospital systems and three of the largest national health plans.

Joining Park is Matt Francis, who will assume responsibility for both sales and client relationship management as Chief Sales Officer at Alegeus. Francis brings more than 25 years of experience in sales and sales leadership within a variety of healthcare and health information technology organizations. Prior to joining Alegeus, Francis was Senior Vice President, Payer and Provider Solutions at American Well Corporation. Francis has also held various sales leadership roles at Trizetto, where he successfully developed and led cross functional teams of sales and account management professionals in executing strategies to acquire new customers and expand the footprint within the existing customer base. Francis has also held roles within the healthcare information technology industry for Oracle Corporation’s health industries business group, within the TPA industry for Employee Benefit Plans (EBP), and within the health plan market for Foundation Health Systems (now HealthNet) and Great West Life Assurance Company (now part of Cigna).
Rounding out the trio of new hires is Robert (Rob) Pinataro, who will assume responsibility for production, operations, client service and product management as Chief Service Officer. Charged with ensuring service excellence, Pinataro joins Alegeus with an extensive background within the technology, banking, insurance and benefit services industries. Most recently Pinataro was the COO of Nationwide Credit, a division of Altisource Portfolio Solutions, with prior roles as the VP/General Manager, Payment Solutions at Open Solutions, Inc., the VP/General Manager COBRA/FSA Services for ADP and various leadership roles within General Electric’s Global eXchange Services business. Pinataro has also been the CEO and Founder of two organizations that specialize in advising benefits and healthcare service & technology firms on “accelerating excellence” in growth, profitability and quality.
