SAN DIEGO--()--Santech, Inc. has integrated its mobile messaging platform, SanText®, to the 2net Platform and Hub, designed with attention to HIPAA privacy and security requirements, and leveraging the cloud-based platform for biometric sensor data operated by Qualcomm Life, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated.

Santech combines mobile messaging and behavioral science to improve chronic care and wellness programs offered by health care organizations. Mobile biometric sensors provide the opportunity to better manage chronic conditions, particularly those associated with lifestyle such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. Each of these conditions cost the health care system over $100 billion in the United States alone.1,2,3

“Qualcomm Life is committed to empowering individuals to better manage their health and making wireless health simple for medical service providers. By wirelessly enabling health care solutions, we hope to reduce the cost of care and improve access to health services and tools,” said Rick Valencia, vice president and general manager of Qualcomm Life. Santech’s mobile messaging platform enables patients to communicate with their providers through Qualcomm Life’s 2net Platform and Hub, improving care coordination and engagement between patients and providers while keeping the patient in control of their data.

“Integration of biometric sensor data allows us to transport message alerts and update the motivational profile used to improve health behavior. The 2net Platform and Hub provides a secure connection for numerous devices, simplifying our integration efforts while improving the convenience for the patient and for health care organizations,” said John Fessler, Chief Executive Officer of Santech, Inc.
