DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The third annual APWG eCrime Researchers Sync-Up will be held here March 7th and 8th, 2013, gathering cybercrime fighters from around the world. This is a two-day exchange of presentations and discussions related to eCrime research in progress - and for networking of researchers and cybercrime law enforcement officers within the disciplines that are defining the eCrime forensic field today.
The Sync-Up, begun three years ago in collaboration with University College Dublin (UCD) as a cybercrime researchers chalk-talk session, has grown into a multi-disciplinary program covering all aspects of cybercrime investigation and remediation from behavioral aspects to advanced technical exploits with presentations made by industrial interveners, operations personnel, cybercrime law enforcement officers and researchers from academia and industrial laboratories.

The two-day Sync-Up will cover technology and techniques of cybercrime, as well as anti-cybercrime techniques; the economy of cybercrime; the psychology and behavioral approaches used by cybercriminals against victims; case studies related to the trace and investigation of cybercriminals; and sessions of training on advanced methods for security and investigating the abuse of the Domain Name System (DNS) by cybercriminals.
