FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In support of its yearly prom initiative, Men’s Wearhouse (NYSE: MW) has announced a donation of at least $1 million to support education through its Cash for Schools program. The donation will be tied to Men’s Wearhouse tux rentals and will benefit high schools across the nation.
Schools that participate in Cash for Schools will receive a $5 donation for each tuxedo rented for their prom from Men’s Wearhouse, with the company committed to donating $1 million or more to 5,000 schools throughout the country.
All high schools are eligible to sign up for the Cash for Schools program online at www.mwpromnation.com/cash4schools.
In addition to the Cash for Schools program, Men’s Wearhouse is strengthening its commitment to supporting schools and inspiring up-and-coming entrepreneurs with its Prom Rep program. This is a platform where students can earn a free tux or suit for their prom as well as cash and prize rewards for getting their peers to rent prom tuxes at Men’s Wearhouse. This year, the prom rep program includes new prizes and incentives, including Apple® eGift Cards, $1,000 cash for prom, and one grand prize of $10,000 to the rep with the most paid-in-full referrals at the end of the campaign (June 30, 2013). The My Prom blog is a digital resource for teens to help them create the ultimate prom experience. The blog is complete with style tips, prom-planning timelines, and monthly sweepstakes to enter for a chance to win prom prizes.
