COLUMBUS, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced that Jennifer Rumsey has been named Vice President – Engineering Heavy, Medium Light Duty Products, effective Feb. 1.

From 2007 to 2009, Jennifer worked in Midrange Engineering where she was a Technical Project Leader and also held an assignment addressing turbo quality. Between her Midrange and Heavy Duty roles, Jennifer was a member of the Cummins Turbo Technologies (CTT) business team.
Earlier in Jennifer's Cummins career, she held multiple roles in the Advanced Engineering organization, starting in Advanced Controls, Aftertreatment Technology Development, and as the Tier 4 Interim Product Preceding Technology (PPT) leader. Prior to joining Cummins full time, she worked for Nuvera Fuel Cells where she led control system development and system integration for fuel processing/fuel cell technology.
Jennifer received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with highest honors from Purdue University in 1996 and a Master’s degree Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1998.
Jennifer has received a number of awards including the Cummins Chairman's Quality Award for her Six Sigma work, Society of Automotive Engineers International Association of Equipment Manufacturers Outstanding Young Engineer Award, and 40 under 40 up-and-coming Purdue Alumni by the Purdue Alumnus. She is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and Society of Women Engineers.
