Reichhold to Close Plant in Newark, New Jersey

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--()--Reichhold announces that it has made the decision to close its manufacturing facility on Doremus Avenue in Newark, New Jersey in the aftermath of the devastating damage caused to the plant by superstorm Sandy on October, 30, 2012.

In the immediate days following the hurricane, all Newark production was temporarily moved to other Reichhold manufacturing sites in North America. We have now determined that there is capacity to satisfy customer needs within the remaining Reichhold facilities in the near term. Staffing and resource allocation is underway to ensure excellent customer service especially during the peak season. Appropriate capital planning will allow Reichhold to maintain our leadership position.
