Children’s Nonprofit EMQ FamiliesFirst Promotes Brian Thomson to Top Spot at San Bernardino Office

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.--()--Brian Thomson has been promoted to executive director at EMQ FamiliesFirst, taking the helm at the agency’s Inland Empire regional office. Thomson joined the agency as clinical director in 2007 and brings to the position more than 20 years of working on behalf of some of society’s most vulnerable children. The agency serves approximately 450 children and their families annually in the Inland Empire. “Brian has demonstrated steady leadership, vision and a deep commitment to the staff and clients of our office,” said Craig Wolfe, vice president of clinical operations for EMQ FamiliesFirst. “His focus has been on the continued growth of our programming while delivering the highest quality clinical services.”

The San Bernardino office has recently launched the groundbreaking Interagency Youth Resiliency Team (IYRT) program http://emqff.org/services/iyrt.shtml that matches older youth with a mentor as part of their support network as they transition out of the foster care or juvenile justice systems.

Thomson holds a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Loma Linda University and a Bachelor of Art, Psychology, degree from UC Riverside. He is a resident of Highland, California.
