Authentix and L’Oreal USA to Present Best Practices for Product Traceability at 7th Global Forum on Pharmaceutical Anticounterfeiting and Diversion

Companies to share best practices of proven consumer product traceability program with pharmaceutical industry

DALLAS--()--Authentix, the global leaders in authentication, and L’Oreal USA, a division of the world's largest cosmetics and beauty company, will deliver a presentation on best practices for product traceability and the prevention of product counterfeiting, theft and diversion at the 7th Annual Global Forum on Pharmaceutical Anticounterfeiting and Diversion. The event, hosted by Reconnaissance International, is to be held November 27-29, 2012, in Washington, D.C.

The presentation, entitled “Best Practices and Lessons Learned from Deploying a Successful Traceability Program in the Consumer Goods Industry,” will help address the knowledge gap that exists when it comes to making a track and trace program operationally successful. While the pharmaceutical industry is weighing various options for the adoption of industry-wide traceability programs, L’Oreal USA and Authentix have proven experience in the implementation of an item-level traceability program to support Quality Assurance efforts.

In this presentation, Chris Lyden, Senior Director Brand Equity Protection of L’Oreal USA and Majid Fazeli, VP Authentication Serialization of Authentix, will share their results and lessons they have learned from the successful implementation of a large-scale, commercial traceability program in the consumer goods market. They will discuss the importance of creating a holistic authentication and traceability program that combines authentication and serialization technologies with other ancillary processes such as product sampling, market monitoring and effective contract management to realize the maximum return on the investments made.
