DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Drivers can finally take an active role in determining what they pay for gasoline as the Fuel Rewards Network™ (FRN) program rolls into the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Excentus, creator of the patented cents per gallon rewards concept and leading loyalty marketing program provider, officially launches the FRN™ program in the DFW Metroplex today with Shell, the No. 1 selling gasoline brand in the U.S. Now DFW residents can join other FRN Members across the country in seeing their price per gallon drop an average of 31 cents.1
Fuel Rewards® savings from the FRN program can be earned across a diverse network of participating retailers, Shell stations, restaurants, grocers and online merchants giving consumers unmatched options on when, where and how they earn rewards. Consumers can then redeem their rewards, regardless of where they were earned, in a single transaction right at the pump on all grades of Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines including Shell V-Power® Premium Gasoline, and Shell Diesel, for up to 20 gallons per purchase.
In addition to earning Fuel Rewards savings through any of the hundreds of online merchants in the FRN program’s Online Mall, such as Bass Pro Shops, BestBuy.com and Sears.com, Metroplex residents can earn rewards at local restaurants and eateries such as The Old Warsaw, El Fenix and Sfuzzi Uptown. Best of all, the ability to earn rewards is available across the U.S., so consumers can save on fuel outside of the DFW Metroplex as well.
“We started this company 16 years ago right here in Dallas, so to say that we’re excited to bring a national program home to the Metroplex is an understatement,” said Dickson Perry, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Excentus. “Our goal for the FRN program from day one has been to save people a lot of money and help them do so as easily as possible. Working with Shell now expands the program’s capabilities and reach, making the FRN program available both locally and nationally so we can help consumers on a completely new level.”
“Shell knows consumers are looking for a smart loyalty rewards program that helps them save money at the pump without jumping through hoops or sacrificing their quality of fuel,” said Dan Little, Shell North America Fuels Marketing Manager. “Working with Excentus to be part of such a revolutionary rewards program like the FRN program is exciting because together we’re helping empower consumers so they may never have to pay full price at the pump again.”
How to Save:
The program is free to join and registration is easy. Consumers can request an FRN Card to be mailed to them when they sign up at fuelrewards.com, or consumers can pick up an FRN Card at any participating Shell station and then activate it online.
Members can then begin earning rewards on qualifying transactions with program participants – that can be anything from buying lunch at Romano’s Macaroni Grill or making a purchase at BestBuy.com.
With a customizable dashboard feature on fuelrewards.com and a convenient iPhone app, Members can also keep tabs on places to earn and redeem rewards whether at home or on the road – and the options are virtually endless:
- Dining: earn rewards on qualifying purchases at 10,000+ participating restaurant, bar and club locations across the U.S. by linking a credit or debit card to your Dining account
- Online Mall: earn rewards through the Online Mall on qualifying purchases with nearly 700 online merchants ranging from BestBuy.com to Sears.com to QVC.com -- some offering 2x, 5x, 10x rewards or more for maximized earnings
In select markets:
- eCoupons: download eCoupons that can be used on select items at participating grocery and drug stores to earn additional rewards
- Grocery & Other Programs: earn rewards at grocery stores and other merchant locations in select markets across the U.S. See fuelrewards.com for a list of all participating merchants.
The Fuel Rewards Network program makes earning and redeeming rewards easy. All rewards earned through the FRN program are combined in the Member’s account and can be redeemed together to see the Member’s per-gallon price of fuel drop automatically.
Currently available in more than 130 markets, the FRN program continues to launch in new cities with nearly 200 markets by early 2013, so savings opportunities continue to grow for consumers throughout the Metroplex and beyond. To date, Excentus’ fuel savings programs have helped more than 10 million consumers save hundreds of millions of dollars at the pump.
Consumers ready to fuel up on savings can learn more about the FRN program at fuelrewards.com or by visiting the Fuel Rewards Network™ program page at facebook.com/fuelrewards.
