Citybuzz Offers NYC Trip to Winner of the NYC Matters Contest

NEW YORK--()--In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Citybuzz, the premiere destination television network in hotels, taxis and in-flight, is launching the NYC Matters contest to celebrate the resilient Big Apple. To enter, contestants must take a photo of what matters to them and post it on Instagram, the Citybuzz Facebook page or their blog. The contest partners include jetBlue, Bloomingdale’s, Blue Man Group, SD26, City Lobster, The New Museum and Affinia Hotels.

“Sandy made us all think about what matters and we want to get the message out that not only is NYC wide open for business but there is so much happening right now,” says Citybuzz CEO and Founder Christy Ferer.

Citybuzz and its partners are treating one winner to a NYC Insider Weekend of Broadway theater, museums, a Bloomingdale’s gift certificate and great restaurants. All entries will be judged by New York institution The New Museum. Five runner up winners will receive Citybuzz giftbags filled with NYC collectibles and more. Participants must post a picture of what matters to them on Instagram with the tag #citybuzzNYC and then like the Citybuzz Facebook page. Participating bloggers who write about and post the contest video to their site will be eligible to win a lottery for mega prizes.

Bloomingdale’s among other partners is donating to the contest. “Whether you’re visiting uptown or downtown New York City,” says Anne Keating, Senior Vice President Public Relations, Special Events, Corporate Philanthropy, “the holiday windows at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street or the hot picks at our SoHo store are destinations that should be on everyone’s wish list.”
