SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atlassian, a leading provider of enterprise collaboration software for product development teams, today announced that Jeff Diana and Paul Willard have joined its executive team as Chief People Officer (CPO) and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), respectively. As CPO, Diana will be responsible for the recruitment, growth and development of Atlassian's most important asset – its people – across its global presence. Diana will also be responsible for the growth and protection of Atlassian's unique corporate culture, and will report directly to co-Founder and co-CEO Scott Farquhar. In his new role as CMO, Willard will be responsible for managing Atlassian's global brand, worldwide marketing efforts and unique high-velocity, frictionless sales model, and will report directly to Atlassian's President Jay Simons.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome Jeff and Paul to our team," said Farquhar. "Two of our primary goals in building a world-class software company are to create an enviable company culture and to impact the lives of millions of software developers. These two strategic hires will help take Atlassian to the next level. Jeff's experience in building and scaling world-class corporate cultures at rapidly evolving companies – as diverse as GE, Microsoft and SuccessFactors – will help Atlassian crush its aggressive recruiting goals. Paul's extensive background in large-scale online consumer marketing, combined with his long-lived passion for software development, will bring invaluable expertise to our marketing team."
"Jeff and Paul are incredible additions to the Atlassian team," said Doug Burgum, Atlassian's chairman of the Board who previously worked with Diana at SuccessFactors. "Having worked with Jeff for years, I can truly say that his ability to scale an organization while maintaining the integrity of its culture is without equal. Paul's background as an engineer and his exemplary leadership skills will also bring a fantastic edge to Atlassian's marketing team."
