PAR Technology Announces $14.2 Million U.S. Navy Contract Award in Djibouti, Africa

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y.--()--PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PAR) announced today that the U.S. Navy awarded its subsidiary, Rome Research Corporation (RRC), a contract to provide telecommunications operations and maintenance services at the Global Information Grid (GIG) facility at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti, Africa. The value of the contract is $14.2 million, with a performance period of 5 years. This site will join the many other communications facilities that RRC operates for the Navy in the United States and throughout the world.

“We are pleased that the U.S. Navy has selected RRC as its preferred provider for communications services at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa — the only U.S. Military installation in Africa. Our communications operations and maintenance (O&M) responsibility will include support to the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) as well as several other tenants at Camp Lemonnier,” commented Steve Lynch, President of PAR Technology’s Government Operations. “We are committed to providing the Navy with the most cost-effective solution and to delivering unsurpassed quality, value and customer satisfaction. RRC’s 12 years of experience supporting multiple NCTAMS LANT telecommunications O&M contracts uniquely positions the RRC team to achieve the Command’s operational requirements in Djibouti.”

As a critical team member of NCTAMS LANT Detachment, Camp Lemonnier, RRC’s mission will be to provide critical 24/7/365 communications O&M services in support of CJTF-HOA as well as a variety of other tenant commands and U.S. Federal Agencies. RRC’s support to U.S. and coalition forces will be a key enabler for successful operations throughout the Horn of Africa. Camp Lemonnier is located adjacent to the Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport and is home to a multinational force of more than 3000 personnel along with nearly 800 local national personnel.

The GIG is the global network of information capabilities, processes and personnel for collecting, processing, storing, disseminating and managing information on demand for use by military commanders, policy makers and support personnel. The GIG provides capabilities to operating locations that include bases, posts, camps, stations, facilities, mobile platforms and deployed sites. It also provides interfaces to coalition, allied and non-DoD users and systems.
