RICHFIELD, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OEConnection LLC, the parts e-commerce technology leader for original equipment manufacturers (OEM) distribution networks, announced an agreement today with General Motors Canada to provide a web-based billing and claims solution that will power GM Canada’s new National Fleet Maintenance Program.
Designed to create new business opportunities between GM Canada, its franchised dealers and Fleet Management Companies (FMCs), the program will provide FMCs with a single, consolidated billing system that validates invoices according to pre-specified company requirements. The web-based program also gives fleet drivers convenient access to a nationwide network of GM service locations where they can go for vehicle maintenance or emergency repairs without the need for work approvals, expense reports, or paperwork. Utilizing the OEConnection solution, participating dealerships will have the ability to process fleet claims easily and receive automatic credit from GM Canada.
Erik Enright, OEConnection Director and Business Team Lead for Order Management Solutions, said, “The OEConnection service claims solution was first launched in 2008 for U.S. General Motors and its dealerships, resulting in a 21% year-over-year increase in GM fleet service and parts revenue nationwide. We are confident that the solution, which has proven to boost efficiencies for all involved parties, will also lead to increased fleet service and parts business for GM Canada and its dealerships. “
According to Dinal Peramune, GM Canada Parts Aftermarket Growth Marketing Manager, the new GM National Fleet Maintenance Program is just one example of how the company is helping dealers become more competitive and claim a larger share of aftermarket parts and service sales. “Fleets recognize that GM dealers offer many advantages – such as genuine GM parts and expert, GM-trained technicians – when it comes to vehicle maintenance and repair,” Peramune said. “With consolidated billing and other cost-saving conveniences, The GM Canada Nationwide Dealer Fleet Maintenance Program will give FMCs little reason to go anywhere else.”
The GM Canada National Fleet Maintenance program is currently rolling out a province-by-province basis and will be available nationwide by year end.
