Octoshape and INVISO Partner Up to Offer Internet-Based TV Contribution Services Across Latin America

INVISO to provide Octoshape-powered Internet video solutions with broadcast quality, scale and economics

MIAMI--()--Streaming media innovator Octoshape announced today a partnership with INVISO, an international provider of high quality broadcast, telco and cable video solutions, to deliver Internet TV contribution services throughout Latin America.

"At INVISO, we seek the most innovative and high quality products to serve our customers through the brands we represent,” said Jose Luis Reyes, Vice President for Sales and Operations, INVISO. “In the case of Octoshape, we found a company and a product that bring these qualities to our supply chain, sales and service.”

Octoshape offers an innovative cloud-based solution that provides instant infrastructure for the distribution of both linear and video on demand content. The Octoshape Infinite Uplink service provides point-to-point distribution of TV signals over the Internet for source signal acquisition to traditional IPTV and cable headends as an alternative to traditional methods like satellite and video fiber.

"Customers throughout Latin America have demonstrated incredible interest in this new offering,” Reyes said. “Octoshape’s technologies will be showcased during the upcoming broadcast tradeshow 'Camara Argentina de Proveedores y Fabricantes de Equipos de Radiodifusion' or 'CAPER.'"

In addition to TV contribution, INVISO will have access to Octoshape’s most recent innovation, Infinite HD-M. Infinite HD-M uniquely brings the scale, quality and economics of traditional broadcast TV to broadband TV. Content owners, telecom, cable and satellite operators receive the ability to provide higher quality Internet viewing experiences for all connected devices over the top. Telco and cable operators that are part of the Infinite HD-M federated global network receive signals via native IP Multicast over broadband in a way that allows them to easily manage large volumes of traffic without upgrading their Internet capacity or their network infrastructure.

“The partnership with INVISO, who brings extensive experience and high market penetration in Latin America with broadcasters, telcos, and operators, further underscores our commitment to the Latin American region,” said Michael Koehn Milland, CEO Octoshape. “INVISO’s strong focus on both telco and broadcaster headends will enable a new market segment for Octoshape in the region.”
