MEXICO CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sabre Travel Network, a global technology company serving travel suppliers and agencies, kicked off a new edition of its regional conference on technology innovations for the global travel industry.
Sabre’s Technology Summit in Mexico, an established business-to-business meeting in Latin America and Caribbean region, provided a forum for travel industry leaders and technology experts to share the latest industry trends on travel. Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism Gloria Guevara Manzo delivered a keynote speech on SECTUR strategy about Public Sector creating opportunities for the industry.
The conference also helps equip agencies and corporations with innovative technology to manage travel in today’s dynamic industry.
“Travel technology adoption is rising across Latin America as agencies respond to a more consumerized traveler experience, driven by online, mobile and social media trends. Agents that adopt technology quickly see tangible benefits and can more efficiently manage travelers’ preferences in these new channels,” said Julia De Jesús, Vice President Sabre Travel Network Latin America north region, at the regional conference held in Mexico City on Wednesday October 17. “Transparent access to travel options is a key requirement to the sustained growth of the industry," De Jesús remarked.
Esteban Velasquez, Director Sabre Travel Network in Mexico said: “The portfolio of technology solutions we have showcased at our conference inspires people to think beyond the boundaries of travel management as we know it today, to a place where the travel experience starts and ends seamlessly regardless of device. Sabre’s technology supports this vision, providing agencies with the tools to drive greater customer interaction with travelers, which ultimately results in increased sales and revenue opportunities.”
Among the solutions presented, the most talked-about innovations were the Sabre Red Workspace and award-winning Sabre Red App Centre used by agencies to shop, book and manage travel, the latest graphical view capabilities, and its web and mobile services. In addition, there was much excitement about the imminent rollout of TripCase, Sabre’s newest mobile app for travelers which integrates travel itinerary, travel tools and real time travel services.
