ExactTarget Expands Global Strength with New Offices in France, Sweden; Adds French Interface

Expansion Across Europe, Nordics Extends ExactTarget’s Ability to Serve Global Enterprises

INDIANAPOLIS--()--Global interactive marketing provider ExactTarget (NYSE:ET) continued its global growth today with the launch of new international operations in France and Sweden and the addition of a French user interface across its suite of digital marketing products.

The new offices in Paris and Stockholm and the addition of a French language interface accelerates the company’s ability to extend its email, mobile, social media, data management and marketing automation applications to new markets and clients worldwide.

“Through our teams in London and Munich and in conversations with clients, it is clear that there is tremendous opportunity in France and the Nordics to revolutionize digital marketing in the regions with our suite of products,” said Scott Dorsey, co-founder and chief executive officer of ExactTarget. “By continuing to bring our expertise and passion for digital marketing to new markets and adding local language support across our suite of products, we are providing the technology marketers need around the world to connect with their customers and achieve new levels of success.”

Delivered on ExactTarget’s Fuel software as a service platform, the company’s multilingual interface enables marketers to access ExactTarget’s Interactive Marketing Hub and its suite of applications in their native language or toggle between languages with a simple click. ExactTarget currently offers its suite of products in English, Brazilian Portuguese and German, and the company plans to make its French interface generally available to clients in the fourth quarter of 2012. The addition of French to ExactTarget’s multilingual interface builds on the company’s long-standing capability to power messaging in more than 50 languages worldwide.

The addition of ExactTarget’s new offices in Paris and Stockholm mark the second geographic expansion for the company this year. In January, ExactTarget opened its office in Munich, Germany to lead its expansion throughout the region, adding to the company’s growing list of international operations that now includes offices in London, Sao Paulo, Sydney, Melbourne, Munich and cities across North America.

ExactTarget’s Paris office is now open, and the company plans to open its Stockholm office during the fourth quarter of 2012.

Interactive marketing veteran Jean-Philippe Baert will lead ExactTarget’s new Paris office as managing director, ExactTarget France. Baert brings more than two decades of interactive marketing expertise to ExactTarget’s new operations in France. Prior to joining ExactTarget, Baert served as managing director of Experian Marketing Services in Paris, and he has also held numerous sales and leadership roles across Europe for technology companies including QAD (NASDAQ:QADA), InPac, INFOR and Lawson Software.

“I am incredibly excited to lead the launch of ExactTarget’s operations in France and introduce marketers throughout the region to our powerful suite of products,” said Baert. “With ExactTarget’s French interface and strength across email, mobile, social and the Web, European marketers now have a truly global platform to transform digital marketing and deliver real business results.”

The launch of ExactTarget’s expanded international offices and products comes during ExactTarget’s annual client conference Connections. More than 4,000 ExactTarget clients and partners from around the world are attending the event, which will run through Thursday. The event features keynote addresses from Michael J. Fox, illusionist David Blaine and executives from Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, reddit and the New York Stock Exchange. Connections ’12 follows ExactTarget Connections ‘11, an event that welcomed more than 3,000 marketers to Indianapolis and featured a lineup of industry thought leaders including Jimmy Wales, Wikipedia founder and Soledad O’Brien, award-winning CNN anchor and special correspondent.
