DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stream Energy announced today that it is now serving natural gas customers in the Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G) territory of New Jersey.
Stream Energy initially entered the PSE&G market in November 2011 to provide electricity service to consumers. With today’s announcement, residential customers in the PSE&G market may now also purchase natural gas from Stream Energy.
“With roughly 1.6 million eligible natural gas customers, PSE&G represents a significant expansion for our deregulated energy footprint,” said Stream Energy chairman Rob Snyder. “Moreover, we will soon be announcing other local distribution company territories in the northeast U.S. where we will be introducing dual-commodity electricity and natural gas service in the very near future.”
Current estimations of the PSE&G natural gas service area indicate that less than 7% of consumers have switched away from the incumbent. This makes it fertile ground for Stream Energy’s one-to-one consumer education model, which positioned the company as the world’s largest network marketer of energy.
Stream Energy has generated $5 billion in total revenues and received numerous honors since its founding in 2004.
