HUMANITAS Announced Winners for the 2012 HUMANITAS Prize

David Shore Received Goodbye with Love Award

LOS ANGELES--()--The winners for this year's HUMANITAS Prize were announced Friday by Cathleen Young, HUMANITAS Executive Director, and President Tom Fontana. Seventeen (17) writers took home a share of $95,000 in prize money for films and television shows which "entertain, engage and enrich the viewing public." Over 300 writers, directors, producers and entertainment executives gathered today at The Montage Beverly Hills to celebrate writers and their work at the 38th HUMANITAS Prize.

Goodbye with Love, a newly created award, which honors long-running series of extraordinary writing quality, was presented to “House” creator and Executive Producer David Shore. “We honor the most gifted writers working today. It is extremely gratifying to play a role in recognizing and honoring these HUMANITAS winners,” said Cathleen Young. “The work of these writers is truly inspiring.”
