ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With 49 percent of enterprises planning to increase investments in IT over the next 12 months, according to ISACA’s 2012 Governance of Enterprise IT (GEIT) survey, effective governance, risk and compliance (GRC) strategies are needed to derive the most value possible for the enterprise. ISACA’s 2012 North America Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) and IT GRC Conference in Las Vegas this November will provide practical strategies to help achieve these goals.
ISACA, a nonprofit association serving 100,000 IT governance, audit and security professionals in 180 countries, combined its popular North America ISRM and IT GRC conferences into one event this year. Offering expertise for all levels of governance, risk, security and compliance professionals, the conferences will be held together at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, from 14-16 November 2012.
In his keynote address titled “The Virtualization of America,” Michael Rogers, technology author and owner of Practical Futurist, will discuss the rise of a new generation of “digital natives,” for whom the virtual world is second nature, and the impact of this generation on business. Nils Puhlmann, CISM, chief security officer of Zynga and cofounder of the Cloud Security Alliance, will deliver the closing keynote, focusing on capitalizing on trends in IT governance and risk with an innovative approach.
“The demands on IT are complex, varied and rapidly changing. From BYOD demands to constantly evolving regulations and cyberthreats, executives and professionals are facing many challenges, and it is critical to stay ahead of the curve,” said Tom Borton, CISA, CISM, CRISC, chair of the IT GRC Program Task Force. “Conference attendees will learn the latest insights and tactics from thought leaders and can customize the information to add value to their enterprises.”
The conference will cover the latest topics in GRC, audit and security in panel and interactive discussions, networking events, and engaging workshops. Attendees can attend sessions in the following tracks:
- Thwarting Cyberthreats—Cloud computing, business continuity and data breach responses
