Futura Mobility, LLC Launches mHealth and Telemedicine Solutions

PHILADELPHIA--()--Futura Mobility announces the launch of new mHealth and Telemedicine solutions for healthcare providers that improve patient outcomes, enhance access to specialized treatments and reduce healthcare delivery costs.

With more than 10 years experience providing end-to-end mobile solutions to the healthcare industry, Futura is uniquely positioned to service the global telemedicine market, which is expected to reach $27.3 billion in 2016, according to BCC Research. The company currently supports more than 1800 hospitals and 250,000 mobile devices in the U.S.

“We see dramatic growth opportunities in providing a continuum of care between patients and their providers of healthcare,” said Janet DeNicola, Chairman of Futura Mobility. “With major rollouts planned in Q4, we expect to gain traction quickly given the immediate health and financial ROI for patients, providers and payors.”

Patient demand for Telemedicine services has been steadily increasing as it helps improve access to services that might not otherwise be available. Many hospitals use telemedicine services to outsource specialty services, such as radiology, stroke assessment, mental health and intensive care services. In addition, Telehealth initiatives allow hospitals and healthcare providers to expand their reach while reducing or containing healthcare costs through better management of chronic diseases, shared health and professional staffing, reduced travel times and fewer or shorter hospital stays.

Futura’s mHealth and Telemedicine initiatives will focus on customized mobile solutions that help physicians deliver services to patients and connect offsite specialists via cloud-based and cellular networks. This includes the deployment of chronic disease management applications and mobile tele-video workstations. Futura will develop, deploy, service and provide full support for all elements of the mobile delivery systems.

“Our hands on experience in 1 of 3 U.S. hospitals, combined with our mobile domain expertise, puts us in the unique position that enables us to build out sophisticated mobile infrastructures that help hospitals and care providers manage and treat patients for a fraction of the current cost,” said David Gulian, CEO of Futura Mobility.

To expand its footprint in the Telemedicine space, Futura has formed several strategic relationships, including Temple University Health System and Abington Memorial Hospital, which will allow the company to expand rapidly over the next six months.

“At Temple, we have over 10,000 patients suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), many of whom I treat daily,” states Dr. Gerard Criner, Director of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Temple University Hospital. “Based on my clinical study, we have proven how mobile technology allows us to improve both the overall quality of health and the daily quality of life for our patients. Futura Mobility’s services enable us to deliver that care remotely.”

Over the next several months, Futura will be devoting significant capital resources to expanding their Mobile Services Platform for Chronic Disease Management. In addition, new software applications and mobile delivery equipment will be launched by the end of 2013.
