SUNRISE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sheridan Healthcare, Inc., the leading anesthesia services provider in the U.S., has named Steven Sheinman, M.D. to the newly created position of national medical director of ambulatory anesthesia.
"Dr. Sheinman has served in multiple managerial and executive roles with the company for more than 25 years, and he will support all aspects of our ambulatory anesthesiology services in keeping with Sheridan's mission to be the preferred provider of anesthesia services in the country," said Sheridan Healthcare President Robert Coward.
Performing more than 794,000 procedures annually, Sheridan’s anesthesia division has more than 1,300 anesthesia providers in 15 states.

Dr. Sheinman also serves as Sheridan's Miami-Dade County regional medical director overseeing anesthesiology programs at ambulatory surgery centers and will continue to serve as chairman of anesthesia and medical director at the North Miami Beach Surgical Center.
After receiving his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his internship in internal medicine at the Beth Israel Medical Center, Dr. Sheinman completed his anesthesiology residency at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.
