BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 3,500 metres of rail track on the Messe Berlin outdoor display is a unique characteristic of InnoTrans. All available space has been reserved already and from 18 to 21 September the tracks will be used to present more than 100 innovative and advanced vehicles, which have been designed to offer safe and punctual passenger and freight services. Trade visitors will be able to see several items making their world debut, as well as obtaining a comprehensive overview of all the relevant new developments in rolling stock.
The exhibits on the outdoor display encompass multiple units, locomotives and trams as well as construction and dual-mode vehicles. And all the various aspects of track are included too, such as the construction, modernisation and maintenance of rails, power supplies and control systems, which all feature prominently in the display. The exhibitors include global players as well as international manufacturers which are bidding to be among the world leaders in their field. Rail operators are also represented on the open-air grounds with a number of stands.
World premieres also on the outdoor display
To an increasing extent InnoTrans is becoming a platform for launching new, advanced technology for the rail sector. For example, Patentes Talgo is presenting the prototype of its high-speed train, developed entirely in-house, for the first time in Berlin. Two TRAXX locomotives from Bombardier are making their debut, as are the high-speed grinding train from Vossloh and the new series of Tramlink modular trams. There is also a world premiere from Siemens on the exhibition tracks, where visitors can see the new Inspiro metro for Warsaw.
