U.S. Bank Offers Surcharge-Free Transactions at MoneyPass® ATMs for Kroger Prepaid Debit Cardholders

MINNEAPOLIS & CINCINNATI--()--Kroger prepaid debit cardholders can now enjoy surcharge-free transactions at all ATMs that offer the MoneyPass Network, a network of over 23,000 ATM locations nationwide. Debit cardholders can conveniently access ATM locations where they live, work and travel and by using the MoneyPass ATM Locator App to find them more easily.

“Providing surcharge-free transactions at MoneyPass ATMs demonstrates our commitment to enhancing our Kroger partnership and bringing added value to our Kroger prepaid debit cardholders,” said Peter Klukken, senior vice president at U.S. Bank. “Customers save money on groceries and fuel at The Kroger Family of Stores and Fuel Centers with purchases made using the Kroger prepaid debit card, and they now can save even more money by using them at the surcharge-free MoneyPass ATMs.”

Surcharge-free MoneyPass ATM transactions are an extension of U.S. Bank’s extensive financial services relationship with The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR), one of the world’s largest retailers. In 2010, U.S. Bank and Kroger formed a strategic alliance that offered Kroger customers and associates a suite of payment products and financial services, including reloadable prepaid debit products that offer rewards with every purchase and can be used to shop and pay bills online.

“Kroger is focused on providing money management solutions that enable our customers to make smart choices with their money,” said Kathleen Kelly, president of Kroger Personal Finance. “The MoneyPass Network together with the Kroger prepaid debit card will provide customers with access to over 23,000 ATMs surcharge free. We are delighted to be able to help customers save a little of their hard earned dollars.”

In addition to the payment products, U.S. Bank provides a number of retail, corporate banking, trust, capital markets and credit services for Kroger. U.S. Bank operates bank branches in 192 of the 2,500 stores Kroger operates under two dozen local banner names including Kroger, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, King Soopers, Smith’s, Dillons, QFC and City Market.
