TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has announced new additions to its rapidly growing Israel Practice with attorneys joining the Tel Aviv and New York offices.
Scott Mortman has joined the Tel Aviv office as a shareholder in the Corporate & Securities Practice. Previously a partner in the New York office of Mayer, Brown LLP, with a broad range of legal and business experience, Mortman is the newest addition to the recently opened Tel Aviv office. Ephraim Schmeidler, who focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and securities offerings, has joined the New York office in the Corporate & Securities Practice as an of counsel. He previously was an attorney at Blank Rome.

Mortman focuses his practice on technology, energy and the environment, corporate law, governmental affairs, litigation and international dispute resolution, representing both established and emerging companies. Most recently, he served as the Director of Global Business Development for Better Place, Inc., the Israel-based electric vehicle services company. He also served as an advisor to the Israeli government on matters relating to international trade and foreign investment.

Mortman received his J.D. from Fordham University and his B.A., cum laude (with honors), from Harvard University, and was a partner at Mayer Brown before moving to Israel.
Schmeidler, who has represented both U.S. and foreign entities, including Israeli companies with securities traded on U.S. stock exchanges, received his LL.B., magna cum laude, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Faculty of Law and his B.A., with honors, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Faculty of Law.
