Major Industry leaders Participating in RCS VoLTE Interoperability Event

RCS VoLTE IOT Event 2012

FREMONT, Calif.--()--The MSF, ETSI and GSMA today announced that in response to industry interest, they will offer an additional sign-up window for the RCS VoLTE interoperability event that will take place from September 24th to October 12th, 2012. Applications are now being accepted up through July 30, 2012 for the event that will take place in two labs hosted by Telecom Slovenia Group in Sintesio, Kranj, Slovenia and by China Mobile in China Mobile Research Institute Laboratory in Beijing, China.

Event sponsors Verizon and Radysis are joined by Alepo, Broadsoft, Cisco, Exfo, GENBAND, JDSU, Tekelec and Ulticom in participating in testing the upcoming deployment scenarios and technologies in the RCS VoLTE Interoperability event.

The goal of the interoperability event is not only to test UE usability and functionality, but also to add the testing of the critical network components together with roaming scenarios. This allows the participants to gain knowledge of real network deployments.

“MultiService Forum IOT events have given us a great opportunity to understand how other vendors and operators have thought of deploying LTE solutions” said Wang Jing from China Mobile Research Institute “at the same time these events act as a location to test all the deployment scenarios before going live thus enhancing quality in the networks.”

All vendors and operators are invited to join in the event. The registration deadline date is July 30th 2012.

For more information about participation in this event please see the Application Instructions at http://www.msforum.org/interoperability/RCSVoLTE.shtml.
