RealD and Stellar International Cineplex Pact to Install RealD 3D Technology on 100 Cinema Screens

Fourth Chinese Exhibition Deal for RealD in Recent Months

BEIJING & LOS ANGELES--()--RealD Inc. (NYSE: RLD), a leading global licensor of 3D technologies, and SMI Corporation Limited, a leading Chinese entertainment and media company that operates movie theatres under the name Stellar International Cineplex, today announced an agreement to equip 100 screens across the Stellar circuit in China with RealD 3D technology. Installation of RealD 3D technology has already begun.

Stellar currently operates more than 40 cinema locations with 250 auditoriums and nearly 40,000 seats in more than 20 provinces and cities in China.

RealD 3D is currently available on approximately 650 cinema screens in China with future commitments for approximately 1,350 additional installations for a total of approximately 2,000 screens.

Globally, RealD is the world’s most widely used 3D cinema technology with approximately 20,200 screens equipped with RealD 3D (as of March 23, 2012) by approximately 900 exhibitors in 68 countries around the world.
