LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Halarose and Scytl announced today a strategic partnership agreement to provide Election Trainer, an online training solution for polling station staff, to the UK election marketplace. This online solution will save electoral service managers valuable time during their busiest periods whilst providing far more effective training for polling staff by providing them with interactive learning, repeatable exercises and online assessments, all carried out in their own time and at their own pace.
Election Trainer has already been used by over 450,000 election staff world-wide, making it the market-leading election training tool of choice. Election Trainer will be available to all UK authorities and has no prerequisites as it is provided as a ‘Software as a Service’ solution, meaning that polling station staff can access its full functionality via a standard web browser connected to the internet.
“Scytl is delighted with this alliance with Halarose which will allow both companies to better serve together UK election officials through the use of innovative technologies” commented Pere Valles, CEO of Scytl.
The two companies are announcing today their development of the first UK online training course, developed in line with the Electoral Commission guidance for polling station staff. The course will be available three months in advance of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) elections on 15th November 2012 in England and Wales.
“The synergy between Halarose and Scytl, two companies whose focus is on harnessing the latest technology to bring local authorities the innovations and efficiencies they are looking for, makes this a partnership that is worth more than the sum of its parts,” commented William Quinton, Managing Director of Halarose.
Kath Richards, Sales Support Manager at Halarose, said, “What will be important for councils wanting to exploit the benefits of online training is the fact that Government has said that it will continue to pay for relevant training as set out in the Fees and Charges Orders and it is a matter for the Returning Officer to decide how that is delivered a s long as it is cost effective and meets the needs of the job.”
