WHO: The Open Networking Foundation (ONF) Executive Director Dan Pitt will co-present a keynote entitled, “SDN, OpenFlow, and ONF: Silicon Valley and Japan Lead the New Networking Generation” at Interop Tokyo 2012. During the keynote, Pitt will be joined by Big Switch Networks CEO Guido Appenzeller and NTT Communications Corporation Senior Vice President Service Infrastructure Yukio Ito.

WHAT: During the keynote address, ONF will discuss the growing demand for Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and how OpenFlow-based SDN represents a change in networking that comes once in a generation. The talk will also share how enabling networks to be programmed like computers brings users and operators benefits that were never before thought possible. Pitt, Appenzeller, and Ito will examine three issues relating to the new networking generation:

- How ONF and its Japanese members are leading the global revolution
