AUSTIN, Texas--()--Texas.gov, the official website of the State of Texas, proudly announces the launch of m.texas.gov – a mobile-friendly site that lets Texans access government services anytime, anywhere with any device. Since the launch of Texas.gov in 2010, web analytics indicate that mobile visits are growing steadily. Every day, more than 6,800 visits, or 10% of total visits to Texas.gov, originate from a mobile device. In total, the Texas.gov mobile site delivers an impeccable, intuitive user experience.

On m.texas.gov, Texans can:

  • Access government services organized by topic: Drive, Pay, and Work

Many of the services offered on the mobile site, such as Driver License Renewal and Fund for Veterans Assistance donations, also feature mobile-friendly best practices giving Texans a seamless transition from the government portal to a government transaction. One user recently boasted from their Twitter account, “Gotta say the mobile portal at Texas.gov is great! Renewed my registration online and it was a piece of cake :)”

When a user visits Texas.gov from their smartphone, mobile usage is detected and the website automatically adjusts to the appropriate screen size. The Texas.gov site works on most mobile platforms and uses simple design code for quick load times and responsiveness.
