CORONA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Opening to record box office results worldwide, “Marvel’s The Avengers” features one of TCL’s newest LED Smart Televisions.
According to Joe Sannella, General Manager of Product Marketing for TTE Technology, Inc. (TCL Multimedia’s US Subsidiary), the TCL television used in the film is “one of TCL’s newest models and showcases TCL technology and the breadth of its product line. We were able to provide the perfect TV for the application.”
In conjunction with the film’s release, TCL will be utilizing numerous film assets globally to promote the TCL brand and support sales of its 2012 television product line. These assets will be rolled out for use with TCL regional websites, local dealers and other marketing partners.
Providing TCL Televisions for use in highly visible, globally distributed, media coincides with the TCL global branding strategy and continues TCL’s successful string of cooperating with Hollywood filmmakers. Last year, TCL worked with the producers of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” to utilize TCL televisions that transformed into film characters.
Michelle Mao, President of TTE Technology, Inc., said, “Use of TCL Television in Marvel’s The Avengers continues the partnership between TCL and Hollywood. An image of a TCL television in a globally distributed film translates well across all languages and geographies. With a global company such as ours, it is important to leverage assets with worldwide applicability.”
