NEW YORK & FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IDC Financial Insights, an independent research and advisory services firm to financial institutions and the financial services technology industry, and American Banker and Bank Technology News, SourceMedia’s leading publications for banking and financial services professionals, are now accepting submissions for the 10th annual FinTech 100 and FinTech Enterprise 25 rankings. Companies wishing to be considered for this year’s ranking can apply online at: www.idc-fi.com/services/fintech100.jsp by June 29.
FinTech 100 and FinTech Enterprise 25 rankings are based on quantifiable data and public company information that is verified through personal interviews and analyses conducted by IDC Financial Insights. This year’s ranked companies will be formally recognized during a special event hosted on October 10th in conjunction with the annual BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C.
The final rankings will be published in the October 10th issue of American Banker and the October issue of Bank Technology News, as a Special Report containing detailed statistics and revenue for suppliers of hardware, software and services to the financial services industry, along with expert analysis of the industry.
"Our partnership with SourceMedia assists us in creating the most unique snapshot of ‘Who’s Who’ of FinTech providers," said Karen Massey, senior analyst for IDC Financial Insights. "Last year’s report included companies from 16 countries, ten new ranked companies and an overall increase in revenue from the companies despite the recession."
“This is the only ranking of large technology providers to the U.S. financial services industry and it reflects the changes going on in our industry, such as the growth in mobile and online payments initiatives, cloud computing and outsourcing,” said Penny Crosman, editor-in-chief of Bank Technology News. “This year we will be publishing the list in a more user-friendly format online, with links to useful resources.”
Editor’s Note: The FinTech 100 rankings will be categorized and evaluated by the company’s primary business (hardware, software, services) in serving the technology needs of financial institutions including all worldwide revenue attributed to each financial services segment, e.g., banking, insurance and capital markets for CY 2011; and the percent of revenues derived specifically from financial services. The final rankings will be based on total revenues and percentage of revenues from the financial services industry. The FinTech 100 includes vendors that derive more than one-third of eligible revenue from the financial services industry. The FinTech 25 is comprised of leading horizontal technology firms with significant, yet less than one-third, reported revenue from the financial services industry.
