SpotlightTMS Names Veteran Sports Marketing Consultant Jimmy Lynn to Board of Advisors

Former AOL Executive Brings Global Sports Expertise, Digital Media Background to Leader in Ticket Management

In that capacity, the Washington, D.C.-based Lynn will provide strategic counsel to the senior management team and support the company’s business development efforts.

Lynn joins the SpotlightTMS advisory board alongside David Carter, a Los Angeles-based national authority on sports business and strategic marketing, and the author of four books about the business of sports.

An internationally respected sports marketing consultant, Lynn was instrumental in developing AOL Sports into one of the leading global sports destination Internet sites. During his 14-year tenure as AOL’s vice president, strategic development and partnerships, he managed relationships with the NFL, NBA, NASCAR, Major League Baseball, NHL, PGA Tour, HBO Sports, Sports Illustrated, Turner Sports, and more. Lynn is currently managing partner of JLynn Associates, a global strategic advisory firm focused on sports-related media, marketing, and retail for a diverse set of clients including teams, athletes, leagues and associations, media outlets and other businesses.

Lynn serves as the "Visiting Professional in the Practice of Sports Industry Management" for Georgetown University's graduate sports management program. This is a hybrid role of teaching three courses, serving as an advisor to students and faculty, and leading business development for the program. He also serves on the Adjunct Faculty of Georgetown's McDonough School of Business (undergraduate and MBA).
