Kate Owen, who joined Digital Element in 2011 as Northern European Business Development Director, has been promoted to Managing Director, Europe, and new appointments include Swedish native Ivan Stewart as Nordic Business Development Director and UK-based Andy Ashley as European Marketing Director.
In 2011, Digital Element expanded its sales team to address the strong interest in its geolocation technology across Europe, as witnessed by a near threefold increase in European clients inside 18 months. A few of Digital Element’s new European clients include Adcloud, an innovative Cloud-based ad server and optimized ad exchange based in Germany; ChiliTV, a leading Italian movie and television streaming platform; YouView, an IPTV television service of the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and ITV; ClickDistrict, an international ad network based in the Netherlands; and cXense, a Norwegian targeting technology service provider. To support this growth, the company is further strengthening its team with the additions of a locally based salesperson in the Nordics and a dedicated marketing resource who will support in-market and in-language branding and outreach efforts across Europe.

Stewart
has a deep knowledge of technology and advertising sales, and brings to
the team more than 10 years of digital sales experience from working for
companies including AOL Sweden, Yahoo Sweden, Discovery Networks Sweden,
Espotting, and most recently TV4 Sweden. He will lead the company’s
sales efforts into the Nordic countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and
Finland, as well as Russia and the Baltic region. Stewart is fluent in
Swedish, Norwegian and English.
Andy Ashley, European Marketing Director
Ashley will lead
Digital Element’s overall corporate and product marketing strategies for
Europe, and brings more than 15 years of advertising and digital
marketing experience to the team. Prior to Digital Element, he served as
Digital Marketing Director for TravelClick and has held advertising and
marketing positions for digital marketing and advertising agencies
including Bright Digital, McCann Erickson and Saatchi & Saatchi.
