CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bank of America today announced that it is launching three new travel rewards credit cards that give consumers and small businesses the flexibility to use points to pay for a variety of travel expenses, including flights, hotels, vacation packages, cruises, rental cars and more.
The new credit cards – BankAmericard Travel Rewards™, BankAmericard Privileges® with Travel Rewards, and WorldPoints® Travel Rewards for Business – have no foreign transaction fees, no expiration on points and no blackout dates.
“Our customers told us they wanted a travel card that gave them the flexibility to use points for travel-related expenses without a lot of hoops to jump through,” said Consumer and Small Business Products Executive Susan Faulkner. “With these new travel cards, customers can earn reward points faster and can choose any airline, hotel or other travel provider for their travel plans.”
The BankAmericard Travel Rewards and WorldPoints Travel Rewards for Business credit cards have no annual fee and customers earn 1.5 points for every dollar spent on purchases - 50 percent more than traditional rewards programs that offer one point per dollar.
With the BankAmericard Privileges credit card with Travel Rewards, customers earn two points for every dollar spent on purchases. The card has a $75 annual fee, which is waived for customers who maintain at least $50,000 in deposits and investments with Bank of America or its affiliates.
In addition to points earned on purchases, BankAmericard Travel Rewards and BankAmericard Privileges with Travel Rewards customers who have another qualifying Bank of America account automatically get a 10 percent point bonus each year on their total purchases.
Redemption is easy. Customers simply pay for their travel expenses with the cards and then go online or call to redeem points for a statement credit towards all or part of their travel purchases.1
All three travel credit card programs include:
- No limit on the total number of points earned and no expiration on points.
- No blackout dates.
- No foreign transaction fee.
- Ability to purchase travel through any website or travel agent.
- Twenty-four hour travel and emergency assistance.
- Auto rental collision damage waiver.
