TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DISA Mission Partner Conference--Fixmo, the mobile risk management company, and Enterproid, a leader in enabling “bring your own device” (BYOD) mobility, today announced the first commercial application secured using the Fixmo SafeGuard SDK. Through a partnership between the two companies, Enterproid is delivering a defense-grade version of its Divide platform, which lets users switch instantly between personal and work personas on their mobile device.
The new Divide solution will include additional layers of security and encryption to mitigate the risk of data loss and compliance breaches resulting from a lost device or malicious cyber attack. By “wrapping” the solution using the Fixmo SafeGuard SDK, the new defense-grade version of the Divide platform will offer FIPS 140-2 validated encryption technology, support for dual-factor authentication via Common Access Card (CAC), and advanced policy controls for managing behind-the-firewall access to ActiveSync® servers.
“We’re seeing significant interest in the Divide platform from both enterprise clients and government agencies, but many of them require the most stringent security models,” said Andrew Toy, CEO, Enterproid. “The Fixmo SafeGuard SDK offered us a simple approach to harden our application with the advanced data encryption and policy controls demanded by government agencies and enterprises in regulated industries.”
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Enterproid to deliver a defense-grade version of the Divide platform for enterprise and government,” said Rick Segal, CEO, Fixmo. “With the new Fixmo SafeGuard SDK, we see a tremendous opportunity to help a wide range of app developers secure and harden their mobile apps using our defense-grade security, encryption and policy management technologies.”
Through the use of the Fixmo SafeGuard SDK, the new Divide platform will also integrate seamlessly with the Fixmo SafeZone secure workspace solution and the Fixmo Sentinel mobile risk management platform. Organizations will have the flexibility to deploy Divide either directly to mobile devices or within their Fixmo SafeZone secure workspace deployment.
