NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications firm, announced today the appointment of Sabrina Guttman as U.S. Technology Practice Chair, reporting to U.S. CEO Dave DenHerder. Guttman rejoined Burson-Marsteller in August 2011 and is currently the global client leader for SAP.
“Sabrina is not only an exceptional leader, but also a creative and highly effective technology PR professional,” said DenHerder. “As U.S. Technology Practice Chair, Sabrina is building a strong culture that will not only ensure the continued success of our U.S. Technology Practice but also change the way technology PR is defined and practiced today.”
Guttman has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry, leading communications campaigns for some of the industry’s largest global brands including Dell, HP, IBM, SAP and Sun. Previously, Guttman was the General Manager of AxiCom U.S. where she managed the growth of the agency in the United States while overseeing global public relations strategy for its foundational client, Dell Inc.
Prior to joining AxiCom, Guttman was the VP of Corporate Communications at Business Objects. There she led internal and external communications around the company’s acquisition by and integration into SAP. Guttman joined Business Objects from Burson-Marsteller where she was a senior member of the HP team for three years. “This is an exciting time for Burson-Marsteller’s Technology Practice and I am honored to take on this leadership position,” said Guttman. “Being a Burson-Marsteller alumnus and past client, I truly understand everything this agency has to offer – from award-winning client service and strategic counsel to quality execution and a truly integrated offering.
