Intellicheck Mobilisa Receives Authority to Operate (ATO) For the Marine Corps

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash.--()--Intellicheck Mobilisa, Inc. (NYSE Amex:IDN), a leading technology company specializing in wireless and identity systems, today announced that it received Authority to Operate (ATO) its Defense ID® system from the Marine Corps.

“We worked closely with the USMC for certification and accreditation of the system,” said Steve Williams, CEO. “The ATO process is a lengthy and stringent process that tests the information security of our Defense ID system to ensure it meets the USMC’s strict requirements. Obviously we are very pleased with this latest ATO approval and shows our commitment to securing our nation’s military installations.”

Mr. Williams continued, “Not only does this ATO allow the Marine Corps to expand their system operations, it will also afford other Marine Corps bases with the template and security basis to follow in establishing their own Defense ID system in accordance with USMC system requirements.”

Defense ID is an advanced access control system in use at dozens of military and federal secure facilities across the country. These devices can scan and compare the information on Drivers Licenses and Passports and other Government IDs to over 100+ databases, checking for “wanted” individuals, lost/stolen ID cards, or if the ID is fake.
