NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--New York City will welcome a second Pod Hotel, Pod 39, opening June 2012 near Grand Central Terminal. Following the model of NYC’s successful original Pod Hotel, Pod 39 features streamlined, well-appointed guest rooms and vibrant communal spaces where travelers can socialize and connect. Pod 39 will feature a lively restaurant and bar scene in the lobby and a stunning rooftop lounge for cocktails and views of Manhattan. Affordable rates start at just $119 per night.

Pod 39’s 367 guest rooms range from 60 – 120 square feet in double, queen and bunk bed configurations. The guest rooms are small but custom-designed to offer a comfortable stay with maximized space and functionality. Unlike the original Pod Hotel, each guestroom at Pod 39 features an en-suite bathroom. Additionally, media hubs in each room allow tech-savvy guests to connect their portable electronic devices to the room and view personal photos, videos and entertainment on wall-mounted flat-screen TVs.
