Capsilon Improves Paperless Mortgage Loan Collaboration with Katalyst Version 7.2

Collaboration Technology Updated to Improve Business Intelligence, Internal Efficiencies

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Capsilon, a provider of cloud-based document sharing, imaging and collaboration solutions for mortgage lenders, has released Katalyst version 7.2, an upgrade available at no additional charge to mortgage lenders who currently deploy Katalyst, the company’s electronic document system. The enhanced release enables lenders to further benefit from collaborative workflow efforts between their internal and third party participants when completing loan transactions with imaged loan documents.

The upgrade builds on the award winning Katalyst 7.0 and improves business intelligence, management of workflow modifications and further boosts collaboration. Katalyst 7.2 enlarges the footprint of business intelligence for customers by giving them the ability to schedule automated report distribution to various groups. The solution provides both a summary reporting capability that includes information regarding the age and number of business transactions, and a detailed report, which includes all the data that can be used in additional, more customized reports. This feature is important for organizations that want a birds-eye view of the loan folders in their pipeline distributed to them regularly without having to manually initiate them.

The upgrade also simplifies the way organizations deal with the change management of business processes. Katalyst 7.2 allows changes to existing loan folders to be made in bulk rather than one folder at a time, streamlining a process that can take hours into a matter of seconds. This key feature is important when organizations want to modify the workflow of paperless loan folders through their organization or reorganize their document retention lifecycles.

The new version of Katalyst also offers additional collaboration capabilities such as the ability to instantly convert a received fax or email into a shared paperless workspace between the lender and the submitter. All approved users have access to the shared documents, eliminating the issue of having different versions of the same document, which impairs effective collaboration.

The upgraded version is packaged with the capability to remotely install and upgrade Katalyst Desktop using Windows group policies, eliminating the need to have IT staff perform installations manually.
